Advogada inscrita na Ordem dos Advogados Portugueses desde 1993, tendo obtido a qualificação de Advogada Especialista em Direito da Propriedade Intelectual em 2010.
Exerce a sua atividade profissional predominantemente na área da consultoria em propriedade industrial desde 1990, sendo Agente Oficial da Propriedade Industrial desde 1996, Mandatária da Patente Europeia e Mandatária autorizada junto do Instituto da Propriedade Intelectual da União Europeia.
É Licenciada em Direito e Mestre em Direito Intelectual pela Faculdade de Direito de Lisboa.
É membro da ACPI – Associação Portuguesa dos Consultores em Propriedade Intelectual e da AIPPI – Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Proprété Intellectuelle, do EPI – European Patent Institute, sendo Presidente da mesa da Assembleia-Geral da AMEP – Associação Portuguesa dos Mandatários Europeus de Patentes.
Tem proferido diversas conferências neste âmbito, sendo autora de vários artigos publicados sobre matérias de propriedade industrial.
Leciona desde 2007 nos cursos de Pós-Graduação ministrados pela APDI – Associação Portuguesa de Direito Intelectual em parceria com a Faculdade de Direito de Lisboa. É vogal da Direção da APDI – Associação Portuguesa de Direito Intelectual desde 2013

Ana Maria Pereira da Silva is a Lawyer registered in the Portuguese Bar Association since 1993 and obtained the qualification of Lawyer Specialized in Intellectual Property law in 2010. She has been working predominantly in the field of industrial property consultancy since 1990, being an Official Agent of Industrial Property since 1996, European Patent Agent, and authorized Agent with the European Union Intellectual Property Office - EUIPO.
She has a law degree and a master's degree in intellectual law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
Member of the ACPI - Portuguese Association of Intellectual Property Consultants and the AIPPI - Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle, of the EPI - European Patent Institute, and President of the board of the General Assembly of AMEP - Portuguese Association of European Agents of Patents.
She has given several conferences in this area, is the author of several articles published on industrial property matters. Since 2007, she has been teaching postgraduate courses taught by APDI - Portuguese Association of Intellectual Law in partnership with the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

Licenciado (2010), Mestre (2013) em Direito da Propriedade Industrial, Pós-Graduado em Direitos de Autor e Sociedade da Informação (2014) e Direito da Arbitragem (2016), e Doutorando (2018- ) em Direito da Propriedade Intelectual, é Docente da Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Lisboa e investigador convidado do Instituto Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition (Munique). É igualmente Investigador do Centro de Investigação de Direito Privado (CIDP). Leciona ou lecionou as disciplinas de Direito do Trabalho I e II, Direito Processual Civil III e Direito Reais. Graduate (2010), Master (2013) in Industrial Property Law, Postgraduate in Copyright and Information Society (2014) and Arbitration Law (2016), and Ph.D. student (2018-) in Intellectual Property Law, he is a Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and a guest researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition (Munich). He is also a Researcher at the Private Law Research Center (CIDP). Teaches or has taught the disciplines of Labor Law I and II, Civil Procedural Law III, and Real Rights. He also teaches or has taught in several Postgraduate Courses, namely, in the Advanced Postgraduate Course in Data Protection Law I, Postgraduate Specialization Course in Labor Law and Social Security, in the Advanced Postgraduate Course in Commercial Litigation, and the Postgraduate Course in E-Commerce. He is the author of several academic works in Portugal, Germany, Brazil, and Spain, where the work “The Compulsory Licenses for Industrial Property Rights” stands out, and was awarded as the winner of the I Prize “Professor Doutor José de Oliveira Ascensão”, promoted by the Portuguese Association of Intellectual Law (APDI). He is the Legal Director of the Consultancy Inventa International and Arbitrator at the Arbitration Center (Arbitrare). He is a member of the Standing Committee on the Protection of Trade Secrets of AIPPI (Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle) and the Committee on Protection of Trademarks of INTA (International Trademark Association). He is a Lead Consultant at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
